Watercolour classes on Sark are a wonderful way to escape the stresses of modern life while learning a new skill. The natural beauty of the island’s scenery has inspired generations of artists from William Turner to Mervyn Peake.
Watercolour painting has been Rosanne’s preferred choice of medium for almost thirty years. Her style of tuition is very relaxed and the emphasis is on developing each individual’s level of ability, in fact, no previous knowledge is necessary. For those wanting to learn the basics, to artists who simply want to improve their techniques, a painting session on Sark is the ideal place to learn.
Rosanne has been teaching watercolour painting and drawing for over ten years and offers tutoring on a one to one basis and also for small groups of up to eight students. All materials are provided.
Rosanne and Peter are in the process of building their own house ‘La Maison Rouge’ where their studios will also be based. They will soon be able to provide accommodation in this peaceful yet creatively stimulating environment.
